Explorer’s Club at Now Jade

Need a vacation for you…. but you still really want to take the kids? Then an easy vacation choice is Dreams Resorts & Spas or Now Resorts & Spas. Why? Explorer’s Club! I LOVE taking my son away on vacation with me and having some great family time, but some fun time for me is also VERY nice. This is where the Explorer’s Club comes in. We experienced it before at Dreams, and this week at NOW. The Explorer’s Club is for children 3–12 years old. It’s not babysitting, they are actual experiences for kids.

A few days of our vacation we were able to take our son to the Explorer’s Club to meet new friends from around the world, and even one from right up the road from where we live. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the staff at the Explorer‘s Club. They are wonderful. They were genuinely friendly and enjoyed the time with my son as much as he did with them. They are uniformed professionals, but at the same time within seconds he loved them and wanted to keep going back.

The first night he went they had a beach party. The kids all roasted marshmallows and had dinner on the beach followed by a movie on the beach! They watched the movie from beach chairs and used beach towels as blankets.

One night I dropped off Tucker and picked up “Spiderman.” The next night I dropped of Tucker and picked up “Tuckito,” his new Spanish name (they had Spanish lessons that night at the camp).

A schedule is posted each day of the Explorer’s club activities so he could pick what he wanted to participate in. It included a variety of activities from pool games, board games, (kids) Bungy, Sandcastle competitions, Piñata fun, cooking lessons, Spanish lessons, kids lunches, kids dinners, movie time and more!

I knew my son was always safe. I had a beeper where they could reach me and he was always in a secure environment. Every time I picked him up he was happy and smiling; and when I thanked the staff each night I always heard the same thing “No, it was our pleasure”.

One of the most memorable things he did on his last night, was he left a hand print on the floor with his name and date so when we go back he can see it again. Thank you Explorer’s Club for giving mommy a vacation too! Now…  if only there was an Explorer’s Club near home.

  1. PLEASE please please blog about something else. I am sick and so tired of hearing about the same hotels… have you not got anything different to write about…

  2. Well … because I was in Riviera Maya for a week my current blogs are focusing on each of those hotels that I was able to experience. We did send someone else to Punta Cana and we’ll be feauring those hotels very shortly.

  3. Thank you so much for all this info on the explorers club. We’re staying at the NOW Jade next month and taking the 2 kids… I want the best of both worlds. But I was hesitant to use the club or babysitters, being out of the country it just makes me nervous.
Hearing all these great things really helps put me at ease, and hopefully hubby and I will have some much needed breaks!
Have you used the babysitting services? My son is 2 so won’t be able to be left at the club, but I was hoping we could have a babysitter tag along with him at the club so my 2 kids could be together.

  4. I’ve been surfing online greater than three hours as of late,
but I by no means discovered any interesting article like yours.
It’s lovely value enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made excellent content material as you did, the
web shall be much more useful than ever before.
