Apple Vacations Travel Agent Appreciation Month Wrap Up with Platinum Retreat in Riviera Maya

Wow! Just returned from our Travel Agent Platinum Retreat with Dallas, Denver, and West Coast markets.  We had some fun in the sun, a little business, but mostly, pleasure. It’s one more way Apple Vacations says “Thank you” to top performing Travel Agents. Yes, they are the Best of the Best! This year we celebrated in beautiful Riviera Maya with deluxe accommodations at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso, along with a special cocktail reception and dinner at Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun.

The Platinum Retreat is a great opportunity to spend some quality time with the most knowledgeable travel professionals in the industry, which made for some great conversation. And there’s no better backdrop than the Riviera Maya and the Iberostar Grand Paraiso.  The hotel went above and beyond with excellent service, wonderful food and beverages, and lovely ocean front rooms.

Amstar Destination Services also provided all the transportation and coordination of this trip.  Special thanks to Amstar for the warm welcome and hard work in making this trip run so smoothly.

There were lots of great memories made on this trip, from a Town Hall Meeting to exciting excursions. Here are some great photos from the trip. Many thanks to all of those who worked so hard to make our 2011 Platinum Retreat a success!

I can’t wait until next year!

  1. To Whom it may Concern,

I am a very good customer of Apple Vacations. I’ve taken many trips to Mexico

on Apple and had, for the most part, an excellent experience and good value!

Now I’m writing to complain. After recommending to many friends about my great

Apple Vacations, and GREAT deals, I find now when I get offers emailed to me,

because I signed up for that, when I click on the information and go to book,

the offer goes up substantially!!! Apparently even though I am signed up and

get these offers, they are not eligible from my Airport!! A major airport,

DIA… Denver, CO. Why would you send these great deals to me only to dissapoint

by charging hundreds more from my city!?!!

By signing up for these great deals, you must know the city in which I would depart

from! That’s part of why I signed up!

Today I went to make a reservation for a wonderful trip:

$799.00 each, all Inclusive to ‘Dreams Puerta Adventureas’, a 6 golden apple resort!

When I had to select a room type for extra fees, I knew something was up!!!

The trip went from $799 ea to $1279.99 ea.!!!!! Almost doubled!!! That’s before tax

    and ‘extra fees’!!!!

I think Apple Vacations is just getting too big and the great service and great deals

are a thing of the past.

I will post this on Facebook and Twitter just to let people know your advertising is

    very misleading.

    Very dissapointed,

    kathi sullivan

  2. Hi Kathi,

We’re sorry that you found our advertising misleading. When we send out our offers they represent a “from” prices based on a departure city which is listed in the email. For the most up to date pricing for deals from your city go to http://bit.ly/kPo8lO.

We value your opinion and hope you continue to travel with Apple Vacations.
