Traveling to Dreams Tulum a few years back was my first experience of using a “kids club”. I had no intentions ahead of time to do so, my son was young (3) … boy was I wrong! As we sat at the pool, the Explorer’s Camp staff dressed in camp uniforms marched down to the pool, blowing whistles, waving, smiling, calling kids by name … and all the kids went running. My son put on his shoes and ran over to join the fun. They were taking the kids back to camp to play games and do a fun craft. I thought my son was too young, so I told him no. He begged and the girls assured me he’d be fine and if not they would call me to get him. So we let him “march” back to the camp with the other kids. And you know what I did? Nothing! I took a nap and enjoyed the beach. My first beach nap in years! It was wonderful. I still dream about it.
Anyone who knows me, now knows this was the first of many Apple Vacations where my son enjoyed time at an Explorer’s Club for Kids at many of the Dreams Resorts and Spas and Now Resorts and Spas. I have not found the scissors yet to cut the apron strings, so since he was born, my husband and I have always taken my son on vacation with us when we travel to Mexico or The Caribbean. And the Explorer’s Club for Kids at Dreams Resorts and Spas and Now Resorts and Spas have given us just what we needed!
Safety – Well trained staff, who are bilingual and really cared for my son. I felt at ease leaving him with them. I received a beeper when I dropped him off, in case they needed to reach me, and never did I have a problem when I asked to use a restaurant or lobby phone to call to check in on him.
Fun – From scavenger hunts, to dinner and a movie on the beach, pajama parties, movie nights, pillow fights, face-painting. He had more fun in these camps, than he ever would have had with us!
Culture – He had piñata fun, made Mexican masks, listened to local musicians brought in for the children and had sing-along’s. Not only did he get to learn about the environment, history and culture from the destination we were in, he also met children from all over the world.
My son loved the Explorer’s Camp staff! He always asks to take them home with us. Believe me – I would if I could. So remember the Explorer’s Club for Kids when planning your next Apple Vacation. They are for kids aged 3-12. And if you book this month at several of the Dreams Resorts and Spas and Now Resorts and Spas in Mexico, kids even stay, play and eat free at the resort! So you just have to pay the airfare which includes taxes. Click here for more details.
