Eileen Herncane
Director of Marketing
I am the Director of Marketing for Apple Vacations, in our East Coast division.
For almost 20 years, I have been managing marketing initiatives and corporate partnerships for Apple Vacations throughout the Mid – Atlantic region.
Depending on the day, you’ll find me scheduling special events, or creating multimedia marketing campaigns including social media, newspaper, radio, television, billboards, direct mail and a variety of sports and radio promotions. I also work hand in hand with our E-commerce team and my counterparts in Chicago. Apple Vacations has partnered with The Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Sixers and Flyers all over my time here, including the 2008 World Champion Philadelphia Phillies! I love my Philly sports teams!
Apple Vacations keeps in close contact with our customers and travel agents through sites like Twitter, Facebook, and TripAdvisor We value the feedback we receive and it helps us improve upon the services and vacations we offer, and it lets us know what you want from us. We also reach consumers and travel agents alike much faster via the social media world. Social Media comes in handy with breaking news, just released specials and weather delays! Many a snowy day or durign a hurricane I have posted updates throughout the night.
When I started with Apple Vacations I was single. I got engaged in Jamaica, got married and returned to Jamaica for my honeymoon. I am now (still) married with a 7-year-old . I have experienced all types of vacations. Riviera Maya is a favorite of The Herncane Family.
When not at work, I love traveling to see live music and every summer my family and I pick a Phillies away game to see a new MLB ballpark. I’ve been to Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean many, many times. Traveling is living and I love that my family and I can experience so many amazing destinations and meet people from all over the world. I love beach vacations and I can’t wait until my next one!

One of my favorite parts of the job is keeping in touch with our fans on Facebook and Twitter. Social Media is a great way to keep our fingers on the pulse of Apple Vacations.

Regional Sales Manager – Philadelphia Gateway
I’m a transplant from the South – Born in Arizona and raised in Southeast Texas! I started in the Travel Industry on the hotel side managing Hampton Inns and Holiday Inns in Birmingham, AL, and Nashville, TN. After several years I decided to try a new direction and went to work for a travel call center that handled travel clubs for several national companies. I went on, several years later, to manage a travel agency. From there, I was given the opportunity to start in Outside Sales with another tour operator in the South. That eventually led me to Apple Vacations!
I’ve been in the Philadelphia area for about 6 years and I’ve loved every minute of it! The people, culture and history of this area are amazing! I love every aspect of my position but if I had to choose a favorite it would be Travel Agent Familiarization trips. I take groups of travel professionals to various destinations in Caribbean and Mexico to experience the destination and product first hand! I have the best job in the world!
