Everyone knows that weddings require an endless checklist of things to do.
Between deciding on a venue, tasting cakes, trying on dress after dress — it seems like the stress never stops! What’s one way to eliminate wedding planning anxiety? Choose a destination wedding at one of the breathtaking Zoetry Resort and Spa locations!
I have been to Cancun and Riviera Maya many times, but my last trip there was something I was really looking forward to since I was staying at Zoetry Paraiso De La Bonita. I was very anxious and excited to spend vacation there, however a little bit worried if Zoetry will live up to all its hype. Getting to the resort is very easy and convenient in a private car with a friendly driver and bottle of champagne. The moment I stepped onto the grounds of the resort, I was absolutely amazed at how gorgeous and peaceful it was. I thought that was a perfect choice for our “girls gateway”, just relaxing and enjoying the amazing ambiance of this beautiful place. The resort itself is very small, but even with full-occupancy, it never feels like it is crowded or noisy. I think a great feature is that they have guaranteed ocean front view in every room category because who doesn’t want to wake up on your vacation, look through the window and see an absolutely beautiful beach and ocean. Rooms are very spacious with 24-hour room service and daily turndown service. Zoetry offers an extensive variety of gourmet food and the presentation of meals is incredible. I cannot say I had a bad meal once. Chefs incorporate fresh, organic and locally grown ingredients. Not only most meals are light and healthy but if you are health conscious or just curious you can also check nutritional value of the meals. What I also liked the most is that portions are not enormous and your meal can be customized depending on your dietary needs.
I spent most of my time on the beach indulging in sunrays and enjoying beautiful views. The most valuable part of the resort is definitely their employees. They were going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, very friendly and accommodating. From greeting us by our first name every morning at breakfast to having our beach beds set up every day. Service was impeccable and leaving the resort, I felt like we were leaving our friends. At Zoetry, you can also enjoy a variety of activities just for fun or to expand your knowledge. Wine tasting, tequila tasting, cooking classes, various sports activities, catamaran sunset sail, poker tournaments, just to name a few, are on daily occurrence. You don’t have to worry about how to find out what kind of activities take place on any given day because there is Zoetry newsletter delivered to your room every day highlighting the events and activities. This place focuses mostly on wellness, relaxation and peace. However, if you want some excitement, the activities manager organizes, once or twice a week, a little “trip “ to nearby Secrets Silversands to enjoy their shows and explore that resort. I absolutely fell in love with Zoetry and it did not disappoint. It is definitely place for people who want to relax, can appreciate wonderful gourmet cuisine, wellness, environmentally friendly and socially responsible concept that resort follows. Going there you need to keep in mind that you are on vacation, you do not need to rush anywhere and just enjoy the incredibly beauty of the resort.

Hola, from sunny Riviera Maya Mexico! I’m busy seeing resorts and want to keep you updated!
The first stop on my tour was Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya. You enter the lobby by passing between a pair of antique Balinese Lions for good luck. This boutique style resort is decorated with original art from around the world. All 90 suites are ocean front and individually named.
This resort is truly an oasis as there are no resorts on either side. Wellness, Relaxation, Pampering and Gourmet Dining are the agenda here! Resort features 2 bars, 3 a la carte restaurants, American beer and top shelf liquor. Offering a 5000 bottle wine cellar, this resort is a wine connoisseur’s dream!

I love the small touches at a hotel and also love to see the local flair and artistry when I am on a vacation. My favorite thing about Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya is that they support the local craftsmen and economy. Upon arrival at Zoëtry there is a woven bag in each room. This bag is purchased for clients by Zoëtry and can be used as your beach bag during your stay; and you can also take it home! A great way to give back locally!
The beauty and elegance of Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya will astound you the moment you step in the lobby. It is a small hotel with 90 ocean front suites. The artwork, amenities and detail put into this hotel are truly exquisite. It is a perfect couples retreat, honeymoon destination or luxurious getaway.

If you want to stay earth friendly, stay at a resort that is trying to make a difference. They are available in all price ranges. Do your research, don’t just pick a hotel because it says “Eco” but check on their website to see what they are actually doing. I did some searching of Mexico & The Caribbean and here is the information on two resort chains that stood out to me: Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts and Sandos Caracol Eco-Resort & Spa. The info below is taken directly from their sites.
Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts offer their guests a new and unique vacation experience focused on wellness, serenity and romance, as well as social and environmental responsibility. They are also defined by their socially responsible and environmentally sensitive philosophy. They respect the beauty of their spectacular settings by recycling, carefully controlling energy usage, minimizing air pollution and protecting marine life. Their stewardship reaches beyond their own property and into nearby towns and villages through community projects and volunteer guest programs. At Zoëtry Casa del Mar Los Cabos , the socially responsible and environmentally-friendly practices range from an extensive paper and water recycling and reuse process to weekly beach cleaning campaigns.
