I recently had the opportunity to travel to Cuba on a “People to People” trip.
With the recent relaxation of regulations to obtain required licenses for travel to Cuba, the island nation has become more available to eager travelers from the United States. On our trip, we visited several different regions of the country, starting in Trinidad, then on to Cienfuegos (both in central Cuba). We also visited Havana and Old Havana (both in western Cuba).
It was an unforgettable experience and I can’t wait to share my blogs with you, including travel tips and highlights of each region.
First off, my overall impressions and favorite experiences in Cuba.
Everyone has the perfect picture of their dream wedding.
What do you want to see around you while you stand up there saying “I do” to the person of your dreams? A castle for the grandists, a church for the traditionalists, a field for the boho types, a beach for the romantic? Where you first met for those sentimentalists or a secret garden for those naturalists?
The options are literally limitless. As long as the two of you are together and there is someone there to conduct, it is a wedding.
But for those of you who want to follow the amazing trend and get away, maybe save some money, and have a destination wedding — where do you go?! When it comes to selecting that dream destination wedding, how do you choose where you are going to stay and share that special kiss? You could have a beach or garden wedding on every coast and anywhere plant life can grow, so where in the world do you want to go?

So long summer! Fall is the perfect time of year to say “I Do”!
Whether you plan for the sunny shores of Cancun or the tropics of Costa Rica; between back-to-school, Halloween and giving thanks, it’s a great opportunity to have all eyes on you and all hands on deck as this season is generally off peak for most resorts.
But before you plan your fabulous Fall nuptials in paradise, be mindful of some cultural superstitions.
