I would normally say that by a certain age (in your 30’s) it’s time to retire your neon colored clothes, any over-sized prints or outdated fits. However, when traveling to a “dated” destination like Cuba, it’s not only acceptable to make the old new again, it’s actually the style there. Bright lights and antique buildings, we’re dressing up and cruisin’ round this 50’s city…

As if you’ve traveled back to the future in Cuba, the cars, paint and architecture are original, yet worn. There is a sweet charm with strong character there. And, some of the best things have yet to change like the decor, the dancing, music, food scene and personality!

To me, Cuba is a dream destination for a couple; there is nothing sexier than dancing the night away with your partner, listening to the local jazz band by a beach cafe or sipping on Cuba Libres after an antique car tour around town.

Don’t just enjoy the ride, play along. Take advantage of the style warp and bring your most flavorful wardrobe. Here are some outfit ideas and essentials that will liven up your style and thrive in the streets of Havana during your stay*.

*This same wardrobe will also pack well for your overnight in Miami, the other city of neon nights…
