I literally just heard this statement from the woman next to me at the pool at Now Jade. “My friends and I all are supposed to be going on a cruise this winter. I think I am going to cancel or try and get them to come here. I mean why would you go on a cruise when you can stay at a beautiful all-inclusive resort like this? Plus, we pay to go and then we get a bill at the end. At least here I pay once, then I can enjoy myself and not worry about how many fun drinks I want to try or what I eat. An all-inclusive is the place for me”

I could not have said it better myself!

Mind, Body + Spirit Retreat with Fitness Magazine

fitnessI am at Now Jade where the Mind, Body + Spirit Retreat with Fitness Magazine is taking place. It kicked off last night with a meet & greet with Betty Wong and the Fitness Magazine editors. It was nice to meet all the groups who traveled to Riviera Maya to participate. There were groups of friends, girls getaways, groups of sisters and people who just love fitness!

I have to say I am truly impressed by this whole group. They were out at 7:30 AM this morning for a run on the beach led by Betty; and I just attended the “Beach Boot Camp” . It was fun to see all the ways to exercise on the beach using all of the “props” of the resort from coconuts to beach chairs to beach towels. Exercising right next to the ocean also provides a beautiful and serene back drop.

I am very inspired. This group is showing that just because you are at an all-inclusive does not mean it is all you can eat! You can bring all your fitness principles with you to resort, and still feel great when you get home!

Now Jade & Now Sapphire

I just received a review of Now Jade & Now Sapphire from Apple Vacations employee Erin Miller who is escorting a trip in Riviera Maya right… Now!

Now Jade Riviera Cancun, our host hotel, is located only 12 miles from the Airport only about a 20 minute drive from the Cancun Airport — so this property is great 3 or 4 night trips! The check-in was very easy and if your clients are staying in the preferred club section they can check in right here! They also have use of all the amenities that come with the Preferred Club including internet access free of charge, continental breakfast, snacks all day, and a preferred club pool, just to name a few! This resort is a great resort for couples, groups, and families, and offers plenty of activities all day and into the evening. The beach is beautiful, soft white sand and crystal blue water! The rooms here are very spacious junior suites that offer garden views, ocean views, pool views and ocean-front views. The food here is delicious with an ocean view buffet and 6 a la carte restaurants! Lots of choices.

Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun — We did an evening site inspection here and had a delicious dinner. An Infinity Pool to Remember

043I know I have been talking about Jade since last week, but I would be remiss to not point out my most favorite thing about this resort – the Infinity pools. They have one at the main pool and one at the preferred pool. I liked them both, as they both had spectacular views. I just slightly like the preferred Infinity pool better. It was the “quiet” pool.

On our last day I literally got to the pool at 11 and did not leave until 7. It was so relaxing leaning on the ledge overlooking the beautiful white sandy beach and crystal clear blue water. I even fell asleep a few times. The Infinity pool at the preferred pool also had hammocks that were over the water and had the same great views.

It was heaven!

Shade or Sun?

095I am traveling with a child who can not be in the sun constantly. So we are “shade seekers” when we are on vacation, at least for part of the day. If you or someone you know needs shade options on your vacation then this is really a resort to consider.

There are plenty of umbrellas, Palapas and Bali beds here at Now Jade to keep you out of the direct sunlight. Bali beds in Vegas and Miami can go for hundreds of dollars! Cost here – $0.00 for umbrellas & palapas which are throughout the resort. Bali beds are also included when you upgrade to the preferred club section of the hotel.

It seems like something very simple, but when you get here you realize how important it is. And PS – The Bali beds are really nice for a nap for mom too!

A day at Now Jade

257Lots of fun things to do at Now Jade Resort in Riviera Maya.
While this was my afternoon & evening….
1 – Shopping tour in Puerto Morelos. Quaint little town with stores, restaurants and a beautiful church.
2 – Watched the World Cup at the Arenas sports bar, and it was packed!
3 – Tequila tasting.
4 – Main pool bar with Hugo and lots of new friends.
5 – Ended the night at the Mexican Fiesta – great food!

248This was my son’s afternoon & evening at the Explorer’s Club…
1 – Out of the sun for a little while with games at the kids club.
2 – Pinata fun at the pool.
3 – Dinner on the beach.
4 – Roasting marshmallows on the beach.
5 – Kids movie on the beach with all his new friends.
