Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya – Part 2

zoetry-061I love the small touches at a hotel and also love to see the local flair and artistry when I am on a vacation. My favorite thing about Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya is that they support the local craftsmen and economy. Upon arrival at Zoëtry there is a woven bag in each room. This bag is purchased for clients by Zoëtry and can be used as your beach bag during your stay; and you can also take it home! A great way to give back locally!

Are you looking for something a little more extraordinary for your next vacation? Try Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya

zoetry-042The beauty and elegance of Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya will astound you the moment you step in the lobby. It is a small hotel with 90 ocean front suites. The artwork, amenities and detail put into this hotel are truly exquisite. It is a perfect couples retreat, honeymoon destination or luxurious getaway.

If you are not looking for the hustle and bustle of a large resort, with constant music, and pool games, this is definitely a place for you. It is very serene and tranquil with an emphasis on wellness. Continue reading

064I wanted to point out something romantic I saw at Now Jade Resort. Late In the day – on the beach – we saw a few “gazebos” of sort being assembled. Around dinner time we saw couples having a private, romantic sunset dinner in them. If you are looking for something special to do with (or surprise) your loved one, then this is it. And it is here at Now Jade Resort & Spa.

Now Jade–Day 1

001After almost a day at Now Jade I have to say I love it here. You expect amazing staff and service from Secrets and Dreams Resorts, but I can tell you it is also here! Our favorite part about day 1 was lunch and the pool. We ate lunch at Olas which is an a la carte restaurant next to the pool. We had a beautiful view overlooking the beach. Nachos Now style were perfect after a morning of traveling.

Then we enjoyed a day at the pool. The pool was simply awesome. It is divided in two sections– a more livelier section where the pool bar and pool games were happening. Then there was a more quiet section (closer to the ocean) with built in lounge chairs and the infinity pool– so something for everyone.

030We had so much fun during the day at this pool we never made it to the preferred club pool. But we will!

Family Vacation 2010

tuck-packing-006I am heading out on a family vacation today! I will be sharing with you all the places I am going to see in Riviera Maya over the next week, and some family travel tips! Hopefully by the time you are reading this I am already en route to Riviera Maya! I promise to report as much info on the two new NOW Resorts since we have lots of questions on Facebook about them.

For now I start with travel tips. First tip. Involve your child ahead of time.

I am not one to surprise a child with a vacation. Last weekend we pulled out the suitcases and I helped him pick out the clothes and the “select” toys he could bring. This way, when we get to resort, he already knows what he has with him. He does not ask for things we did not pack. I find this works really well for us. Plus, they may have reasoning you never thought of. I told my son (last trip, and again this one) to pick out 5 shirts. He picked out 5 Philadelphia Phillies shirts and 1 flyers shirt. I said why? He said because that way everyone who sees him will know he is from Philadelphia. OK, so 5 Phillies shirts it is. Continue reading
