mexico-nov-11-512More reviews from our Florida sales rep, Everton, escorting his first FAM trip to Riviera Maya.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya – This resort is located just minutes from Playa del Carmen and is the perfect location for clients looking to shop or hit the town. They have a great beach!  They offer 5 a la carte restaurants, multiple bars plus a swim-up bar surrounded by cocktail tables in the pool!  They offer liquor dispensers in the suites, which I thought was pretty cool. The buffet selection is great! They also have a perfect suite for honeymooners called a “Jacuzzi Suite” where the Jacuzzi is on the top floor of a two-floor terrace!  Very cool!!

Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya – This resort is very upscale and serene! 90 individually named ocean front suites at this intimate, boutique resort!  Resort offers complimentary private transfers, in-suite check in, 3 gourmet, a-la-carte restaurants and complimentary WIFI throughout the resort. Unlimited phone calls to the U.S. are also included.  Enter the property by passing between two authentic 16th century Balinese Dragons representing “Hope and Prosperity”.  The Resort is decorated with unique art and antiques hand picked by the owner during his travels.  The resort is only 20 minutes from the airport and located behind the 2nd largest reef in the world. This is a true hidden gem!  The resort boasts the largest wine cellar in Riviera Maya. Clients can enjoy a complimentary sunset sail 6 days a week. They also have wild birds and “Makas” on property.

NOW Sapphire Riviera Cancun – WOW! What a tropical paradise!  This property has been recently renovated and offers spacious junior suites. This resort has 6 restaurants, a massive pool with an abundance of in-pool lounge chairs, a beautiful beach and spectacular food and service! No wristbands, no dining restrictions, no dining reservations, premium liquors and American beer.  Plus, 24-hour room service, beach and pool wait service.

NOW Jade Riviera Cancun – This resort features 7 restaurants, 5 bars and 556 very spacious junior suites.  The resort offers stunning pools. In the preferred club there are hammocks right over the pool!  This resort is built in a protected Mangrove area with abundant wildlife and lush landscaping.  The hotel offers 24-hour room service and is Family of 5 Friendly!  Now Jade has very contemporary design and decor! Spice (Asian cuisine) has tables outside under the palapas, which is a really cool feature and is especially good for group dining.

Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya

James Reese,  Apple Vacations Philadelphia Sales Manager, just checked in from Riviera Maya. I wanted to share what he had to say.

Hola, from sunny Riviera Maya Mexico! I’m busy seeing resorts and want to keep you updated!

The first stop on my tour was Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya. You enter the lobby by passing between a pair of antique Balinese Lions for good luck.  This boutique style resort is decorated with original art from around the world.  All 90 suites are ocean front and individually named.

This resort is truly an oasis as there are no resorts on either side. Wellness, Relaxation, Pampering and Gourmet Dining are the agenda here!  Resort features 2 bars, 3 a la carte restaurants, American beer and top shelf liquor.  Offering a 5000 bottle wine cellar, this resort is a wine connoisseur’s dream!

Clients receive complimentary international calling, complimentary overnight laundry service, daily champagne and fruit in their suite and a complimentary 20 minute massage.  Clients can take the catamaran on a shopping adventure, enjoy a cooking or language class, a Tequila tasting or one of the many spa treatments!  Even Botox!

As with all AMResorts no wristbands, no restaurant reservations required and no restaurant restrictions!  This resort is a must for anyone looking to get away and unwind!

zoetry-061I love the small touches at a hotel and also love to see the local flair and artistry when I am on a vacation. My favorite thing about Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya is that they support the local craftsmen and economy. Upon arrival at Zoëtry there is a woven bag in each room. This bag is purchased for clients by Zoëtry and can be used as your beach bag during your stay; and you can also take it home! A great way to give back locally!

Are you looking for something a little more extraordinary for your next vacation? Try Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya

zoetry-042The beauty and elegance of Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya will astound you the moment you step in the lobby. It is a small hotel with 90 ocean front suites. The artwork, amenities and detail put into this hotel are truly exquisite. It is a perfect couples retreat, honeymoon destination or luxurious getaway.

If you are not looking for the hustle and bustle of a large resort, with constant music, and pool games, this is definitely a place for you. It is very serene and tranquil with an emphasis on wellness. Continue reading

A Fam Experience to Remember

Playa del Carmen

It’s hot and humid – summertime in Mexico. Riviera Maya greeted our group of Apple Vacations’ employees with a wealth of sunshine as we began our three-day Fam (familiarization) Trip, on-the-job training to gain personal experience of the destinations and resorts our company sells. This knowledge means we can help identify the right resort for every customer.

During the Fam Trip, twelve employees from our Chicago and Philadelphia offices participated in pre-arranged site inspections at various resorts. Sometimes an excursion will be on the itinerary, as well as scheduled dinners. Excursions are just as important for us to experience as the site inspections – it gives employees the opportunity to experience a destination and culture off resort.

On our itinerary this time, we have one scheduled excursion to Playa del Carmen, and one scheduled dinner at our host resort- Secrets Maroma. Before checking in, we have a site inspection at Barcelo Costa Cancun followed by Dreams Cancun. Both impress our staff for their value, location, and the buzz of activity that is apparent everywhere in Cancun. Continue reading
